The story is OK, but there is too much simple technical stuff wrong. The Germans didn't fly Spitfires in WW2. B-17's don't have "a left engine" they have two on each side. It's a Hellfire missile, not a Hellfire rocket, and it doesn't launch from a pod. A Barrett isn't a .50 caliber and a 50mm. A hand held radio with a 50 mile range, after an EMP when no repeaters are working? There is more, along with quite a few typo's. Breath and breathe really are two different words, with two different meanings. Bawl is different than ball. This kind of stuff makes me feel like the author is in too much of a rush to do some due diligence. Just get the book out, and move on. I'll not buy the next one.Product details

consistency with the previous Collapsing world book 1 was excellent the author carried you deeper into the mystery of these two kids and their family. Descriptive but not overwhelming as some writers want to make even the simple stuff a word count additive. Which I'm not going to do in this review. A good read interesting development and I'm ready for the next in the series.
Mr. Mercer really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat! It's a amazing how he ties two book series together, Worst Case Scenario series with Collasping World series. A truly gifted author. I recommend reading both series and I cannot wait for the next book in each series to come out! I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!

Love the storyline but please, please, please get an editor! Especially enjoying the fact that it's set in Georgia and Alabama and anxiously awaiting the next installment.
I like the story, but find the continual effort to insert vulgar language distracting... I know military men and women do use some off color language, but to the author seems to try to force or inject foul language upon the characters... I simply find the effort distracting to the story.... I spent 27 years in the military and never heard a woman say, "I'm freezing my tits off.." Just one of many occasions that I found the insertion of vulgarity distracting.
